Pallet Rack in Richmond Hill, GA

Richmond Hill rack planning can involve cross-dock buildings with clear heights above forty feet. That creates opportunities for high-bay storage, but the controlling question is still what the handling equipment can place and retrieve under load. We plan new pallet racks for the I-95 distribution corridor by working from pallet dimensions, beam loads and truck capabilities, then connect the storage rows to the receiving and shipping sequence.

    Forty-foot buildings need a loaded-reach check

Belfast Crossing, within Belfast Commerce Park, is planned with 40–42 foot clear height for 3PL and port-related users. A high-bay selective arrangement may fit mixed inventory, while a very-narrow-aisle-style layout requires handling equipment suited to that aisle and lift height. We do not narrow the drawing first and assume the existing trucks will follow. The loaded turning and retrieval requirements should shape the aisle plan from the beginning.

Pallet height changes the spacing between storage levels, and load weight changes the beam and frame specification. Bring the range of actual loads rather than one average size. For e-commerce reserve stock, separate full-pallet replenishment from the smaller-unit picking task so the proposed high-bay rack count does not hide a shortage of working space at the dispatch or pick area.

Belfast Keller Road receiving and shipping routes

Belfast Commerce Park is a roughly 1,040-acre CSX rail-served park at the I-95 Belfast Keller Road exit in Bryan County, approved for as much as 10.5 million square feet. Cross-dock buildings of about 1.04 million and 550,000 square feet illustrate the scale of the available layouts. The rail connection reaches the Port of Savannah, about 23 miles away, with access to I-95, I-16 and US-17.

Another large park on Belfast Keller Road is planned for five buildings totaling around 6.2 million square feet on 471 acres. These buildings need a rack brief tied to their actual door arrangement and inventory mix. A cross-dock plan should preserve the paths between inbound freight, reserve storage and outbound staging. We lay out those connections before filling the central area with repeated rack rows.

Selective reserve and pallet flow for order movement

Richmond Hill's angle is tall 3PL space with room to compare high-bay selective rack, equipment-matched narrow aisles and pallet flow for e-commerce replenishment. Selective rack keeps different stock lines accessible as customers and SKU profiles change. Pallet flow establishes a gravity-fed sequence between loading and retrieval, which needs compatible pallets and a defined replenishment pattern. They solve different access problems and can occupy different zones in the same building.

The park is about fifty miles north of Brunswick, adding another regional connection to the Savannah port route. That access does not tell us how deep to make storage lanes. For that, we need pallets per item, rotation requirements and the peak working quantity. A layout based on those inputs gives the warehouse a clearer way to compare extra positions against the handling needed to reach them.

Install the new layout in operating zones

Coastal hurricane season runs June through November, and storms can affect installation access and restock staging. Plan a work sequence that preserves the warehouse areas needed for incoming freight, then agree which rack zones can open first. In hot, humid non-air-conditioned space, crew scheduling should account for heat rather than treating every workday as interchangeable.

Our warehouse relocation service can coordinate a move into a Belfast Keller Road building with new rack installation and stock transfers. The pallet rack and pallet flow product pages explain the main storage choices in more detail. Send the building drawing, measured clear height, truck model, maximum pallet weight and loaded dimensions. We use that information to define the storage levels, beam capacities, aisle widths and material staging areas as one project brief, with the high-bay handling check settled before the new positions are promised.
